Apple iPhone 4 White Iconic As Ever

HTC, Samsung, Nokia and Sony Ericsson and others may say what they want but the fact remains that the Apple iPhone 4 White has remained the iconic smartphone that claimed to be. Though Apple took quite a while (nearly an year) to bring out the lighter version of the iPhone it has really been worth the wait. As the Apple iPhone 4.0 White does bring into place a wider choice for the iPhone user to choose from.

Setting the rules of the game. That is what Apple has done right from the very beginning. It all started in 2007 when the first Apple iPhone 2G was brought out. Since then, there has been no looking back at all. Apple so far has kept its promise of releasing an updated version of the iPhone and last June saw the Cubertine Company introduce the Apple iPhone 4.0 to the world.

It is pretty obvious to even the novice to the mobile phone industry that lot of water has flown since the past three to four years and the rival smartphones particularly the Android smartphones from HTC, and Samsung has covered substantial ground and are literally breathing down the neck of Apple, if not overtaken it already. The Samsung Galaxy S, in particular, has proved to be a tough rival for the Apple iPhone 4.0 White.

In the UK, at least, it is smartphones like the HTC Desire HD and the Samsung Galaxy S (now the Galaxy II is also there) that has got the imagination of the mobile phone buying public. Though, this is not at all to take away any credit or value that the Apple iPhone 4.0 holds. In fact, but for the slightly on the prices that is slightly on the higher side and a few glitches like the signals problems that you encounter when you hold the iPhone device in a particular angle and other related shortcomings like lack of Flash while browsing the net and a weaker camera (when compared with the Android rival smartphones) there is hardly anything that you would be disappointed with in the Apple iPhone 4.0 White.

Now let us focus on what has made this iPhone 4.0 the phenomenally successful product that it is today. Implying in other words, concentrate on the individual features.

Luscious and Spell Binding Display
When it brought out the Apple iPhone 3GS, Apple was criticised by a section of the mobile phone industry experts to have carried out only cosmetic changes from the earlier Apple iPhone 3G version and not having given the 3GS phone much by way of enhancement. Well, if we apply this logic to the iPhone 4.0, we find that there has been a four times improvement in the high resolution display. The retina display does manage to accomplish this substantial enhancement.

There has been some debate that is ongoing as to which is better – the Retina Display or the Mobile Digital Natural Image Engine (mDNIe) that the Samsung Galaxy S has as its display technology along with the Super AMOLED. Well, it is not worthwhile here to elaborate on this rather never will get resolved issue. Suffice it to say the both are fine in their own rights and are probably sailing neck to neck in terms of clarity, colour registration and other related aspects that come in to play when you talk about displays.
The 960x640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi.does manage to keep you spell bound with its sheer visual wizardry. There simply cannot be two opinions on this one at least.

The robustness of the iOS 4.3 and the sheer strength of the super A4 chip is also seen in the manner in which the other functions like the camera with its video recording facility and the internet connectivity carry out their respective functions.

Dual Cameras with Face Time
While the Android driven camera phones were busy adding up one complicated photography related option after the other, Apple rather wisely kept it simple and only included the immensely popular and touted as hell the Face Time video calling feature.

Even otherwise, the fact that the five mega pixel snapper is able to return high definition (720p) and the quality of the images and the video footage indeed are equal to the performance of some of the eight mega pixel and higher quality cameras fitted with the other rival smartphones. What is more, the option of video editing provided here is rather simple and you do get to tinker around with your video clip and make it that much better with changes made here and there. Among other things, this is one area that must really be worrying to the competition.

Actually, it has really been smart on Apple's part to have included the FaceTime feature. Somehow, the possibility of seeing the face of the person you are speaking with does seem to excite a whole lot of people. This is especially so when you are in conversation with your near and dear ones. Apple has somehow, managed to take care of the two aspects that really mattered. Quality of the video and ease of use. Facetime as a value attraction never was a hit in Europe

Internet and Connectivity
Multi tasking assumes an all important shape and form when one is using the net. You can open any number of web sites on your Apple iPhone 4.0 and it will all happen in lightening speed and smoothness leaving you with nothing but admiration for the creators of this one marvel of a phone. Though, it has to be said that without 3G and Flash things, does take more time and sometimes the web pages do look blurry all the same, the net connectivity is one of the best in the business.

Another area that Apple would like to improve is the social networking aspect. The presence of widgets on the homescreen does help in eliciting the smile of nod from most users. Otherwise, you can immerse yourselves in video viewing or sending those countless E-mails.

Applications is an area where is iPhone is streets ahead
Now, this is something that Apple has made so huge that it is really difficult for any of the competition to reach it, leave aside overtake it. With over 300,000 applications to choose from you simply cannot ask for more. Though, the Android store is also not doing that bad a job either. Still, when it comes to sheer numbers and choices, you know who the leader is.
Music, games and so many other apps are simply bursting at the seams in the iStore.

Battery
The battery life is easily one of the longest in the business. Apple has seen to it that the rechargeable lithium ion is able to power along.

Calling and Reception
Though the Apple iPhone 4.0 White has all these fancy technological gimmickry, it is supposed to be a phone device first. Isn't it? Well, we have to say the calling quality has improved a lot from the previous versions of the iPhone. This has been a grey area for Apple from the beginning and the voice clarity and noise cancellation and other related aspects always lagged behind when compared with some of the Android smartphones. But the iPhone 4.0 improves upon this factor drastically and it is our bet that you can roam around anywhere in London, Glasgow, Birmingham or anywhere else and you will be pleasantly surprised to find that there is no call dropping or any such technical issue during the conversation.

Though when you hold the iPhone 4.0 in your left hand, there is an immediate drop in the reception of the signals. Apple has promised to rectify this lacunae.

Media
Apple has been able to do a fantastic job of much of the media offerings thanks to its experience with the iPod. The media player here is also something that you would find very good. The iTunes Store serves you most of your audio and video requirements and the sonic quality as well as the visual impact is also up to the high standards that we have come to expect of anything and everything from Apple.

The few additions include the iMovie that will not make you a professional movie maker but most certainly will take you closer to the position. It has a rather simple but very effective video editing feature that is sure to keep you engrossed. The other option is the inclusion of the YouTube

Though Apple iPhone 4.0 White does not come pre-loaded with games it more than overcomes this bit by giving you access to the iStore app store. The gyroscope that manages the direction in which the device is held is also remarkable.

Price Factor
One of the grouses against the iPhone has been the rather steep prices. Well, there is good news finally happening on this front as well. The Apple iPhone 4.0 White is available for free under several contracts that demand only a £21 per month to £30 per month for the maximum period of 24 months from the buyer. The network service providers such as Vodafone, Orange, 3 Mobile, O2 and T-Mobile offer this.

The SIM free prices, though admittedly are on the higher side only . You need to pay well above £429 for a 32 GB model.

Conclusion
We will not be stating anything new here. As the Apple iPhone 4.0 White has been liked by millions of users all over the globe.
